On this page I am going to link articles and resources that I have found useful on my journey so far.  I am also going to provide you with helpful tips that will increase your energy and improve your chances of reaching your goals, one step at a time.


  • Before you do anything else each day drink a glass of warm water and lemon juice – this is a gentle way of waking up your system after a nights sleep and will provide you with an early morning energy boast.  Sweeten with some added stevia if you find it too bitter.
  • Be realistic.  If you set yourself goals that are impossible to achieve you are setting yourself up for failure and disappointment.  Taking small steps towards reaching your end goal is more realistic and will also not impinge too heavily on your schedule, therefore making the changes easier to stick to.


  • is an excellent resource that I have been using for the last 4 years.  Using a BodySpace account is a great way to get connected with like minded people and provides you with an online area for storing details on your progress.  The site also has lots of excellent articles, a large exercise database and even some free plans.
